Additional RequirementsFirst Aid CertificationStandard First Aid: You are required to complete a Standard First Aid course which covers CPR C and AED. This is typically a 2 day, on site course that is valid for 2 years. When you re-certify after the two years, it is a one day course and then after the next 2 years you must complete the full two day course again, and so on.
Online courses are not accepted. Only a recognized Standard First Aid Course will be accepted. You will provide a copy of your First Aid Certification with the expiry date when you submit your certification application and every year when you renew your EFW Certification. Proof of InsuranceComprehensive Insurance. You will need this type of insurance if you practice at your own farm. If this is not the case, you provide information about the comprehensive insurance of the farm owner where you practice. It is important to include that you are covered under their policy
Professional Liability Insurance (as required by a co-existing professional association) Pro-EFW MembershipPlease insert copy of your current membership card.
Signed Pro-EFW Agreement Form.This form states that you agree to abide by Pro-EFW’S Code of Ethics.
Continuing Education PlanAll certified professionals are required to complete 20 hours of Continuing Education in a subject related to EFW every two years.
